A Whimsical Makeover - The Foyer Table Edition

Here is a very sweet foyer table.  I purchased it at a garage sale a few weeks ago and I couldn't wait to get started. I removed the old hardware that had an imprint of an eagle. Not my kinda style. I chose to use Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White. I didn't have to sand or prime. What a glorious thing!
I was going for a distressed/shabby/frenchy look and I am in LOVE with the finished product.

Here she is...
I painted 2 coats of Old White then added a few layers of clear and dark wax. I am still using Minwax Clear Wax but I am now using Annie Sloan Brown Wax. It is so much more fun than the glaze I was using before!
I love how this paint distresses. Look at that detail!!!!
I also love the contrast of the green grass with this table. Maybe not having a photo space in my house isn't a terrible thing. I am sure my neighbors think I am nuts when I drag a new piece of furniture into the front yard to photograph every few days.
I hope you enjoyed my foyer table. I am off to work with my newest color...Old Violet!
