A Whimsical Makeover - The Drop-Leaf Table Edition

A few months ago I purchased this table from a friend's garage sale. I have purchased several items from her that you have already seen. I also purchased the chairs at a similar time. I found 3 matching chairs but that is an odd number so I chose to pair 2 of them with this table. As you can see from the picture, they DO NOT MATCH.  I wasn't so worried about that. They were all in good shape and that is what counts.
I chose to do a new color called Old Violet and it was delightful. See for yourself.
I trimmed the table and chairs in Old White and then painted everything in Old Violet. When I sanded them, the Old White peaked through. It is lovely. I covered the chairs with a creamy textured home fabric and it turned out beautifully. It truly is the prefect dusty violet! These are currently at Carter's Cottage.
