Surprise Inspiration

5 years ago I began a jewelry making business called "L Designs". I was somewhat short lived but sucessful while I had it. The reason I stopped was because I was making things that would sell but unable to make what I would wear.   I flocked to my favorite accessories location, Anthropologie and purchased what I wanted but couldn't make. Please would say "Ohh! That is beautiful...Did you make it?" I would have to answer "no". 

But now I have been inspired to try again. I came across Cheryl's blog while enjoying one of my favorite linking parties and I gasped at how cool it was. This is what I saw.





As it happens in life, I was in the middle of packing up my beading stuff in preparation for our upcoming move. I immediately grabbed my stuff and feverishly tried to recreate what she made. Mine is less of a nest-like structure and more of an abstract piece because my wire was bigger than what she suggested. However...I am in LOVE with my new pendant. Take a look!

I have now made 3 more. I can't stop! 

I am now dreaming of the jewelry pieces I can bring to Carter's Cottage. Yay!
