A Bit of Color Play - Coco and Versailles

Ever since the completion of my new favorite project, The China Cabinet, I have been dying to play more with color and the washing technique. I just needed something to practice on. I debated on using old trim pieces from the basement but decide on something more fun. I really enjoy going to Goodwill and purchasing anything in solid wood. I recently acquired an inexpensive wood mirror that seemed right for an experiment.
I painted the base in a coat of Coco and applied clear wax. Then I washed it with a Versailles. The affect was very nice...very Pottery Barn inspired.

I have a few other items to "wash" in the basement. I can't wait for my next color mini-adventure.
Check out my painted portfolio for other fun Annie Sloan projects.
