Upsetting? Yes. Tricky fix? No.
I got out my trusty Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Coco. I had a very small amount left over from my 1930's Cabinet Makeover. I have been wanting to paint the table Coco for a while but haven't had the time. So today I just gave it a quick fix.
I placed a fan on it after my two light coats and it dried almost instantly. I then went at it with a fine sanding block, a little wax and now we have...
I plan on painting the rest of the table and the chairs this summer. I also would like to do a faux runner. However, this will hold me over until then. Oh...did I mention that this only took 35 minutes from start to finish? Yep. It did. ;)
While I have you here... may I also draw attention to our new (old) floors. :) Just newly redone!!!

I just posting a mini-makover this week because of my Impossible Challenge. Stay tuned to see how it all turns out. I may have bitten off more than I can chew but we will see.

Beautiful. I'd never seen coco on a piece of furniture. It looks lovely.

Great job on the table. Glad I found you, so i'm a new follower. Please stop by and follow back so we can keep in touch. Lori
ReplyDeleteWow! The difference in the table is amazing. Beautiful job as is all your painted furniture. I've always loved painted furniture, though I've always gotten a frown from family as they think painting wood should be against the law. lol But, they always give rave reviews after the finished project. I hope you'll stop by my new blog: beezrentaldesigns.blogspot.com and checkout some of my prior work. I say prior as I am about to repaint it all from damage of 3 moves in 2yrs time!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing the kitchen makeover, just like watching the old HGTV programs. : )
I really love it! Great makeover!
ReplyDeleteNew follower.
It looks great! With kitchen tables, does it ever make you nervous that the paint and wax won't hold up during everyday use?
