These are a few of my favorite things...(No. 5)

These are a few of my favorite things... (No. 5)

***Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens***
***Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens***
Well, now that I have created the mood, I would like to present my  Favorite Things Feature. Every week, I am amazed at the talent of my friends in blogville. I would like to help these amazing people showcase their talents by sharing what has blown me away.
If you are as impressed and I am, please visit the blogs of these talented ladies and tell them I sent you.
This week I chose to highlight my favorite local people. Our small community of Dekalb/Sycamore seems to be bursting at the seems with talent.  It is my pleasure to introduce you to...

1. Christie of Carter's Cottage - Christie is owner of Carter's Cottage, the store where my booth is located. She is also an Annie Sloan Paint Stockist. She is insanely knowledgeable about paint, antiques, refinishing and restoration. She views her items in a very classical sense. They are modern/traditional. Classic but will go with any decor. Here items are also very high end and quality pieces.  Here is her most recent project with the highly anticipated Antionette. Stop by and visit Christie at her blog or store front.

 2. Sherrie of A Ruffled Nest - Sherrie is a crafter/painter/shabby chic girl. Her vintage finds are amazing. Her muted color pallete is soothing. Her booth at the store is always interesting. She is also super funny and cool. Sherrie, Christie and I shared a few memorable adventures this year. Most noteable were the NaDa Farms event and Kane County Flea Market. I can not wait for my next adventure with these girls!

3. Rachel of My Vintage Verve - If you have been anywhere in Blogland, you have probably come by Rachel's most recent pieces. She is the newest girl at the shop and she came in with a BANG! Here beautiful items are literally FLYING out of the shop. Her style is vintage/classic with a hard twist. Here beautiful pieces are always distressed just perfectly to take the "girly" away but still leave them beyond beauty. I look forward to Rachel joining our Carter's Cottage adventures this spring. Here is Rachel's buffet that blew-up blogland.
Please stop by and visit these ladies this weekend and tell them I sent you.
