Simple.
Rustic.
That might describe my style pretty well and this dresser is definitely my style.
This is a pretty, spoon carved dresser with one handle that doesn't match. If this was in great condition, I wouldn't paint it. I love the detail.
However, it needed to be refinished. It had some water damage to the top and the whole thing needed to be re-glued. It is in great condition now and it even has a new coat of paint. :)
I used ASCP in Cream. It is the color of butter, a sweet yellow. I love how it turned out. I left the unmatched handle. That is my style.
This is currently available at Carter's Cottage in Downtown Dekalb, Illinois.

It sounds like this sweet little dresser was in sad shape when you first rescued it. It was definitely worth your efforts! What a sweet little piece! I will for sure be pinning this one to my ASCP inspiration board! Love the Cream!

OOOH I love this! I just bought a can of "Cream" ASCP paint and haven't had a chance to use it yet but this is a beautiful color. That dresser had huge potential and you maximized it completely! I would love for you to post it on my link party at http://www.doodlesandstitches.com/2012/06/another-fab-friday-thank-you-to.html . Thanks for the inspiration!
