I have also been playing with different waxing techniques.
I grabbed this chair immediately when I saw it at the Flea Market in May. It is wider than a traditional chair and it has some cool curves.
I chose to do this one in Louis Blue with a Old White in the wax mixture for texture and depth. I also used this technique on a mirror that will pop up in a post later this week.
Here is how it turned out:
I also used one of my new favorite fabrics from Joanne's. For this project I turned the fabric inside out because I liked that side the best. I am also going to use this fabric on my dining room chairs. It is just lovely.
The second of my chairs doesn't have a "before" picture. I was just too excited to try a new color and I completely forgot to take the picture.
May I introduce my first Aubusson Blue project...
I love this color with the red striped fabric. It is clean and classic but still a bit fun.
These chairs are available for purchase. Please contact me for more information.

ReplyDeleteI am a chair person too!! I have collected and redone many chairs....at the moment I have 4 that I am going to use at our party on Sunday, then they get to go on craigslist as I don't need the chairs.....I think chairs have art to them.....
