This week I began working on a few small "tuckable" items to take out to All Things Art Studio in Geneva, Illinois.
I started with this sweet little table and chair set. They don't technically match but they both have curvy features and an interesting carved design. The scale of each works nicely together so I decided that they would become buddies.
I haven't painted in Old White lately and I was dying to do something clean and bright. I love how the dark wood brings out the character in the carvings. I also chose to do a very basic fabric on the seat. It is a beautiful grass cloth-like fabric.
Then I moved on to this little side table:
Cute table right? Well, it felt like someone had stuck contact paper to the top. It was sticky and textured. I stripped the top and decided to mimic a parlor table I had done in the past. I used my trusty old French Linen paired with Versailles.
I love how it turned out:
I will be taking these items to All Things Art Studio tomorrow. They will be for sale through Erin or contact me.
