Here is the before picture:
It is a little dark but has amazing curves and detail. This is a piece that a furniture painter will dream about. However, I wasn't quite sure what colors to go with. I had a new can of Graphite but that seemed too dark for this little piece. So I went to my trusty friend, Pinterest, a became inspired by a piece from Northern Nesting. I love being inspired by others. However, it is extremely important to recognize the source of your inspiration. Please visit her and tell her I sent you.
This beautiful piece is a combination of Coco and Old Ochre. I love the light use of dark wax as well.
Well...here is my interpretation of this same color combination:

ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I have an end table with similar detailing that I've put off painting b/c I didn't want it to just be white. Think I may be stealing your color combo for it. :)

Beautiful, Laura! I love how the details stand out in the Old Ochre! This turned out really good. I just did a small accent table in those same colors, but I think because it didn't have much detailing going for it, it made me not care for the Coco. I'll have to try it again on something else.
