Now you see it:
Now you don't:
I picked up this super cool desk a few months back and posted it on my "pick your paint" section of my Facebook Page. It was grabbed up immediately. My client wanted something dark. She thought about a red or brown but we finally decided on ASCP Graphite. I couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome. I hope she likes it too.
The top of this piece had some damage so I had to perform a bit of veneer surgery. I also had to reglue and secure the drawers. With all old pieces, there is a bit of character. I always restore my pieces to great working condition.
Here is the desk after the rehab:
We chose to cover the Graphite in ASCP Dark Wax to bring out the character of the piece. We then chose antiqued, rough glass knobs that add a bit of rustic elegance. They also happen to be my favorite knobs to use. :)
A perfect drawer to house a laptop.
It is rare that I get a solid response from my husband about my pieces. He has seen me paint hundreds of items. He is over the "surprise" reveal. (He also sees the mess I make.)

However, this piece I know he liked.
He said, "I want you to paint my desk just like that one."
Ok, Ron. I will. :)
