A Whimsical Makeover - The Long, Skinny Table Edition

Sofa Tables, Foyer Tables, Console Tables...
Whatever you want to call them, people love them and need them. We can't keep them in stock at the shop.

I was excited when I found this amazing piece at the Kane County Flea Market. It is heavy and solid wood. It just needed a bit of an update.

I wasn't sold on a color. So I waited and waited.

This summer, my mom showed me a picture of a piece that was paint in Old White and Olive. It was lovely but I didn't think much about it at the time. However, that picture stayed in the back of my mind so I finally acted on it.

Here is my version of that table:

I used ASCP Old White and a custom mix of Olive and French Linen. I used Clear and a heavy Dark Wax.

It feels very "farm house comfortable". I would love to put this somewhere in my house but I am out of room. :)

This will be traveling with me to the Na-da Farms Barn Sale. I can't wait to show it off.

Thanks for stopping by.

  11. Love this and you have inspired me too! What was the ratio of Olive and French Linen? I have a dining table I want to paint and I think your combo would be perfect. Love all that you do!
