My Top 10 Furniture Reveals 2012

This was a year filled with new techniques, unique finds and custom orders. I hope you enjoy My Top 10 Furniture Reveals of 2012. (click here to see my Top 10 of 2011)
10. Can you tell I'm a teacher???

I just can't pass up a sweet little desk. I love the color and the cute little numbers. This was a fun piece to do.

9. Say something in French

This was a Pinterest inspired piece. This style of furniture is usually not what I go for but I couldn't be more proud of my detail work on this piece. It took forever to finish but just looks amazing.

8. Something New - The Shabby Dresser

Oh this piece! This was a tricky custom piece that really had me thinking outside of the box. I am not a girl who usually paints in bright white. However, this was for a friend and her sweet little daughter. I really enjoy this piece.

7. More My Style - The Rustic Dresser

Oh, I wish more people could see this piece in person. This is probably the hardest piece for me to prep. It took me weeks in the heat with a heat gun to prep this piece. But it is amazing. It has a beautiful texture with deep, smooth moving drawers. This is a great piece.

6.  Antibes

I know, I know! This is technically a color and not a furniture piece but I just love everything I have painted with ASCP Antibes. It is a wonderful green and I am planning on using it in some upcoming personal projects.
5. "I did it!" - The Chair

Ugg! Horse hair... Dust...Power tools...Splinters! Halfway through, I had worried that I had ruined this chair. This was my first attempt at this type of upholstery. I am so proud of how it turned out. It is in it's permanent place at the top of our stairs.

4. The Progression of a Piece

One of my all time favorite pieces and posts to write. This post was in response to someone saying that I am not an artist. After this piece, I sure felt like one.

3. The Scary Cabinet

I actually had to knock a wasp nest out of this one! This is that same Antibes color that I love. I refinished this for the Na-Da event and it sold very quickly. This piece is very "me". It may actually have inspired a new built-in for our house. That will be a January/February project for the husband.

2. The Stepback

My largest piece yet! This is a real show stopper. This is another of my favorite colors to work with, ASCP Primer Red with hints of cream The cabinet required some major work but it is now in lovely working order and on it's way to it's new home.

1. A Dresser for me

Finally, my favorite piece of the year...A dresser for me!!! This is in our living room and is a real conversation starter. Click on the original post to see why. :) It is so rare that I actually get to paint something for myself. This is exactly what my house (and my sanity) needed.
