It was just a plain and empty space with all of the potential in the world. We choose to do a working wall. This is phase one and we hope to help it grow.
We are lucky enough to live about an hour away from our favorite city, Chicago. We love to walk around the different neighborhoods, photograph the beautiful scenery and take the walk to the zoo. This is the city where we spend our 1st and 10th wedding anniversaries.
This wall of maps was inspired by Chicago.
Over time, we are going to add our own pictures from the city. We will also change up the chalkboard often.
The chalkboard is my husbands responsibility. He loves to draw new pictures.
You may also be wondering about the (fabulous) folding chairs in the living room. We are currently getting our floors refinished in the living room and dining room. So our furniture is stacked on our front porch. Ron is working on a built-in and new fireplace surround in this room as well. We seem to live in a constant state of dust and construction. Maybe this will be our last project for a while...probably not. :)
I have several fun posts lines up for the next few weeks. Stay tuned!
Thanks for checking in.

I just love this wall arrangement! I love the texture that the baskets bring as well as the chalkboard art. Very nice job! :)Meghan

ReplyDeleteI actually thought your folding chairs and the wonderful metal stool made a terrific photo shoot! Love your idea of a maps wall arrangement that can be added to. We lived in Wheaton for several years and loved going into Chicago.
