Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint - My First Try

Earlier this month, Christie of Carter's Cottage announced that the shop would be now stocking Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint.

I couldn't have been more excited to give it a try.

Now remember, I am an ASCP lover. I love how easy it is to use, the colors and the forgiving nature of the paint.

I was wondering how MMS Milk Paint would compare to ASCP.

Well... I soon found out that comparing these two paints would be like comparing apples to oranges.

As soon as my order came in, I ran to the garage to find the perfect piece.

I found a small, oak farmhouse cabinet. It was just right for the paint.

Here is my MMS Milk Painted project:

I chose to use Boxwood as my first color. It is just beautiful! I love the chippy texture and appearance. This is very rustic and totally my style.
I am currently working on a dresser with another MMS color. After I work with this paint on this dresser, I will give my tips, tricks and review. This is a trickier paint to work with so I don't feel comfortable giving tips just yet. :)

Stay tuned for more Milk Painted Projects.

  1. do you find it to cover well, and did you go straight on or with a binder

  2. It looks lovely! I agree ASCP and MMS paints are so different and give such different effects. Can't wait to see your dresser! x

  3. Love the look!! Very pretty!! Happy Sunday! xo Holly

  4. Can I ask where you got the little milk paint tag you have on the little dreser? I have a stall and paint with chalk paint and will be adding milk paint to my stand and I'd like to mark clearly what is painted with milk paint.

  5. That is a gorgeous colour and it's just perfect for that particular piece of furniture... Cindy
