A Unique Centerpiece - Safety Deposit Box Style

Last weekend, I finally made it up to Rockford to visit Urban Farmgirl's shop. She has been open a few weekends a month since November. I had been dying to go. So I dragged my friend Mary with me. She is my very willing partner in crime. You will hear more about her in posts to come. :)

Urban Farmgirl's shop is lovely. She has a great eye for unique finds and that is evident the moment you walk in the shop. Sorry that I don't have pictures. I was too busy shopping. :)
However, she has a ton of pictures on her page.

One of my purchases was a really cool safety deposit box. Mary and I stared at it for a while. I held it this way and that way. I knew I wanted it but wasn't sure what I was going to so with it. Finally it came to me... centerpiece.

Here is my spring tablescape:

I will be joining Urban Farmgirl, Carter's Cottage and many others at the Na-Da Farms Event in May. This sale is always amazing. Hope to see you there.
Thanks for checking in.

  1. It looks fabulous!!!
My son brought me an antique bucket yesterday with rusted beautiful wheels on the bottom - ( I'll put flowers in that too )
Isn't it just amazing how something that old can be repurposed and look like a million dollars?
    Happy Easter!

  2. What a cool idea!Oh I want to come to that show.We will see May is a busy month around here.

  3. This is such a pretty center piece. I cant believe that is a safety deposit box. Awesome. Please share this on my linky party

  4. This made such a unique center piece. I have an old metal box that I might have to use like you did. Thanks so much for sharing.
