A Whimsical Makeover: The Carved Table Edition

I have been on a furniture buying spree lately.

I will stop here and get a dresser.
I will stop there and get a few small tables.

So far, 2013 has been a very exciting a positive time for Whimsical Perspective and my favorite store (where I sell) Carter's Cottage. Everything we bring into the store has been selling immediately. It is the most delightful problem to have. :)

However, this is a tricky time of year to come across mass amounts of good furniture. So when I find it, I grab it.

I grabbed this table, along with several others, at an estate sale recently:

The table was finished with Paris Grey on the legs and a mix of Graphite and Paris Grey on the top. I then dry brushed Paris Grey across the top of the table. Finally, it was sealed with clear and dark wax (as a glaze).

This lovely little table will be going to Carter's Cottage with me tomorrow.

Thanks for checking in.

  3. It's beautiful! I have to get me some graphite, there is so much you can do with it, and this is a perfect example!
