Home from vacation... and back to school (photo heavy)

Sorry I have been a bit absent. My husband and I are still coming off of our vacation high. Since we have been back, we have also celebrated my mother's retirement and my grandma's 90th birthday. It has been a very happy time for our family.

We had an amazing time at Kiawah Island with my parents.

We were very excited to visit one of my favorite childhood vacation spots together.

We took our time driving to South Carolina so that we could play in the mountains.

We got lost for a while in the Smokey Mountains and ended up on a gravel road for a long while. It was a little nerve-wrecking at first but look at what we found at the end:

Once in Kiawah, we enjoyed the sunrise and sunset every day. Nature was certainly on display during out trip.

We also left the island for a few fun days in Charleston.

This is just a glimpse at our trip. It is an amazing place to spend time. We will be back soon.

Now that vacation is over, it is back to school for me. I am excited to start a new year with a new group of amazing 1st graders. I love my job and am chomping at the bit to get back.

Don't worry, Whimsical Perspective isn't going anywhere! I have some major furniture reveals ready for you later this week. We are also working on some fall decor and a master bedroom remodel. Look for great things to come.
